I have a slip of paper I’ve carried around with me since I was ~16 years old. It’s become my life mantra and something I refer to from time-to-time for motivation, inspiration and reminders. I consider it my mission statement and thought I’d share.

This is about you, about who you know yourself to be and what you are capable of. This is about honoring your individuality, knowing that you are unique, and that you possess your own sense of style and expression. It’s about the competitive fire in all of us, the drive to be the best and believing in yourself. And it’s about refusing to accept any limits whatsoever on what you choose to make of this life. Because the world is yours for the making.
