I think I’m going to put the Katy Bike Trail on my fall plans (here are a few other bike trails if this one didn’t grab you like it did me). Maybe I should take on sponsors and pedal for a cause?

I’m thinking of a winter vacation and ice fishing is pulling out ahead. And, here’s why,

“I mean, you bring a couple steaks with you, couple pizzas, bring what you want to drink, some movies and make it a weekend for 20, 25 bucks,” he said. “Cheap getaway. It’s even better if the fish bite.”

If this doesn’t sound like heaven, I’m not sure what does. Sure, it may be a bit cold, but there’s fleece and hot toddies to take care of that.

Wondering if I can build one of these camping rafts? If not, I think I’ll have to head to Holland to give one a try.
