Bo Jackson is on the same level as Chuck Norris, but all of it is true.

Tampa Bay Rays manager, Joe Maddon, can thank whiskey for the Rays turnaround this season.

Joe Maddon responded to the team’s initial 1-8 record not with anger, and not with threats, but with a fine bottle of whiskey. “We went on our first road trip and I bought some really good whiskey on that airplane. Everybody got a little cup and I toasted to the best 1-8 team in major league history on that first plane ride.”

That’s a well-coached ballclub right there. Only wise men know the problems whiskey can solve.

Barry Sanders could have had a G-note every season

Growing up Barry Sanders was my favorite football player. I watched him every Sunday and believe me when I say his career suffered because he was on a bad team.

What a waste. Four wideouts and Barry. Give him a fullback like Moose Johnston, put him behind a Dallas-caliber All-Pro line, and he’d get his double G-note in yardage every season.

This morning on the Dan Patrick Show, DP was talking about why everyone loves Fred Couples golf swing.

he wears boat shoes…it’s like he’s walking around then someone hands him a club…or that he’s in the middle of doing something, then ‘hangon i need to hit this’…it’s like ken griffey jr hitting a baseball…it’s effortless

Freddie has always been my favorite golfer. His swing is so fluid and smooth.
