One final paragraph of advice: do not burn yourselves out. Be as I am – a reluctant enthusiast….a part-time crusader, a half-hearted fanatic. Save the other half of yourselves and your lives for pleasure and adventure. It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to enjoy it. While you can. While it’s still here. So get out there and hunt and fish and mess around with your friends, ramble out yonder and explore the forests, climb the mountains, bag the peaks, run the rivers, breathe deep of that yet sweet and lucid air, sit quietly for a while and contemplate the precious stillness, the lovely, mysterious, and awesome space. Enjoy yourselves, keep your brain in your head and your head firmly attached to the body, the body active and alive.

I’d be fine spending a few weeks at the Misool Eco Resort. They had me at “water cottages”.
I’ll be in Dulles tomorrow, and if they are open at 7:30a I’ll be getting a Five Guys Burger. Trust that.
Also noted in the article is news of LAX getting a Pinks. Only question I have is should I keep my mandatory In-N-Out order before boarding the same or remove one of the two burgers I normally get? I think the protein style cheeseburger will be replaced by a Pinks Hot Dog.
This has me wondering if there are any better resources for food options in airports (foursquare?)?
After looking at this remodeled Airstream my desire to own one is, again, very high.
Moules and frites (a/k/a, mussles and fries) is probably my most favorite meal. And, I can’t think of a better place to get them than at Dr. Granville Moore’s Belgian Beer and Gastropub in Washington DC. The Moules Fromage Bleu are amazing. Located in H Street NE, Granville Moore’s is named after the Doctor who occupied the space for a number of years.
Dr. Granville Moore was a neighborhood Doctor who twice a week provided pro-bono work for the sick and less fortunate members of the community at the location of Granville Moore’s. Although not much is known about him, we have had several wonderful visitors come in and share their stories of the Doctor. We sometimes feel that maybe he has been looking over us, just as he took care of others here for so long. We kept the name as an homage to the man who did so much for this community.
Somewhere along my web surfing, I saw this picture below. As I looked at it, I realized, “I’ve been there”. A little research and I found out it’s called Enoteca Cava Turacciolo. It’s a small wine bar in Bellagio, Italy (off Lake Como). Great place and I’m documenting it here for my own reference (I’ve forgotten it once and not likely from a bad memory; I blame the wine). Anyway, two milestones here for me. I had my first olive I ever liked and got to use the meat slicer. Nice dude who owns the place, too!

I have been swooning over the Ace Hotels for a while now. What they are doing is quite amazing. In NYC they are attracting quite a few entrepreneurs (and Malcolm Gladwell) in their lounge/lobby. The collaborations and (co)branding has been very well crafted. And, the Palm Springs hotel is currently on my top place to visit list. (Portland is also high on the list, but I’m scared to go there as I think I’ll love it and want to move there.)
Volcano boarding? In Nicaragua? And, you can combine with a surf trip? Yes, please.
